CASTLE DANGER BREWERY CELEBRATES

10 YEARS OF ITS “PINTS FOR A CAUSE” PROGRAM

[TWO HARBORS, MN / October 20, 2025]

For the past decade, Castle Danger Brewery has been raising a glass and funds, for North Shore non-profits through its

Pints for a Cause program. What began in 2015 as a simple idea to give back to the community has now grown into a

cornerstone of the brewery’s mission, donating more than $41,000 to local nonprofits.

At its heart, Pints for a Cause is about community collaboration. Six times a year, Castle Danger’s brewers craft a unique,

small-batch beer dedicated to a selected non-profit. A portion of every pint sold is donated directly to that organization,

helping fund their work across the North Shore region.

“We started Pints for a Cause because we wanted to do more than just brew great beer, we wanted to strengthen the

community that has supported us since day one,” said Tina Hegg Raway, Managing Director at Castle Danger Brewery.

“Each release is an opportunity to share the stories of amazing local organizations and connect people through something

positive and meaningful.”

Each specialty beer is unveiled at a Beer Release Party hosted in the Castle Danger Taproom. Guests can learn about the

featured non-profit’s mission, enjoy a one-of-a-kind beer brewed just for the occasion, and contribute directly to the cause.

Caleb Knudsen, Taproom Events Coordinator, adds, “The best part is seeing our taproom filled with people who come

together not just for the beer, but for something bigger. It’s proof that a pint can truly make a difference.”

Since its inception in 2015, Pints for a Cause has supported over 60 North Shore non-profit organizations, including

environmental groups, youth initiatives, food shelves, and animal rescues, all dedicated to strengthening and enriching the

local community.

“Giving back has always been part of who we are,” Hegg Raway said. “This program lets us celebrate craft beer,

community, and collaboration all at once. We’re proud to keep it going into its next decade.”

ABOUT CASTLE DANGER BREWERY

Castle Danger Brewery has been brewing dangerously good ales on the North Shore of Lake Superior since 2011. After

out-growing their 3-bbl brewhouse in Castle Danger, they opened a new location in downtown Two Harbors in 2014 with

a 30-bbl brewing system, canning line, and year-round taproom. The taproom is a greatly expanded outdoor space that

overlooks the beautiful Lake Superior. This expansion allowed them to grow from 13 local tap lines to statewide

distribution. Three years later, they built a packaging hall that houses all cold-side production, including canning, kegging

and an expanded cooler. They also updated their taproom by increasing the number of tap lines from 10 to 22 and offers

growlers and crowlers. Castle Danger beer is distributed in bars, restaurants and liquor stores throughout Minnesota,

Western Wisconsin and SE North Dakota (Fargo and Grand Forks). For more information: www.castledangerbrewery.com
